These terms apply to all users, including those who use free and paid subscription tiers. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Your continued use of RapidCV after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)

• You have the legal capacity to enter into these terms

• You are not accessing RapidCV for unlawful purposes or in violation of any laws

• Your account information is accurate and you will keep it updated

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We are not liable for any losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

3. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to RapidCV, including resumes, cover letters, employment information, and personal data. By providing content to RapidCV, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store and maintain your content on our servers

• Process your content to provide RapidCV features (export, AI optimization, templates)

• Create backups and restore copies if needed for service reliability

RapidCV Content: All templates, design elements, code, documentation, and materials provided by RapidCV remain our property. You may use them solely for creating your personal resumes and cover letters. You may not copy, modify, sell, or distribute any RapidCV materials without permission.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Create content that is false, defamatory, harassing, or violates others' rights

• Impersonate or falsely claim credentials, education, or experience

• Attempt to access or interfere with RapidCV systems or infrastructure

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or collect data from RapidCV

• Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account

• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

RapidCV provides AI-powered features to suggest resume optimizations and generate cover letters. You understand that:

• AI output is a suggestion only and should be reviewed and edited by you

• You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all final content you submit to employers

• AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate suggestions

• RapidCV does not guarantee employment outcomes from using the service

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Billing Terms: Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected plan. You authorize RapidCV to charge your payment method on each renewal date.

Free Trial: If you receive free trial access, you agree to opt out before the trial ends to avoid being charged. We will notify you before charging.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations are effective at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused time within a billing period.

Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Changes will apply to your next billing date. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

7. Limitations of Liability

Our total liability under these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Termination

RapidCV may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior. Upon termination, your right to use RapidCV ceases immediately. We may delete your data after 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RapidCV harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable laws.

10. Third-Party Services

RapidCV may integrate third-party services (payment processors, AI services, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. RapidCV is not responsible for third-party services or content.

11. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where RapidCV is based, without regard to conflict of laws.

Arbitration: Any unresolved dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, except for injunctive relief or small claims court.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
